Program Assistant
Compensation is $15.52/hr for 20hrs/week.
We are hiring 4 short-term contracts positions, through Service Canada’s Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program.
To qualify for a CSJ position:
Applicants must be between the ages of 15-30, is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
We are seeking applications for the role of Program Assistants/Sales and Marketing Assistants
Job Description:
The successful candidates will assist the program managers and/or Executive Director with various NCCEEP programs. You will be required to assist with day-to-day operations as needed, assist the Executive Director and Program Manager with daily tasks such as registering participants for events and programs and maintain a mailing list, participate in fundraising preparations and events as needed, create content for the website and social media platforms, maintain facility and light housekeeping duties (sweeping, emptying trash, etc).
Applicants must also exhibit a strong positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, as well as an exceptional work ethic.
Availability needed Monday-Saturday, some Sundays.
Potential for hybrid work, need to have access to internet if working remotely.

- Marketing skills & social media experience
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Interest in community work and organizational skills
- Strong computer and Internet literacy skills: Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Canva, Google Docs, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
- Must be proficient in social media platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, use initiative, and effectively handle disruptions
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others in a team environment
- Possesses the physical ability to perform moderately heavy lifting
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle would be an asset
